Here Comes the Boom is a stage in The Masked Carnivale for Blue Mage, introduced in patch 4.5 with Stormblood.

Act 1

Enemies

Arena Grenade

  • Endurance: Average
  • Strengths: --
  • Weaknesses: --
  • Vulnerabilities: Doom

Strategy

You'll need to one-shot each of the sleeping bombs. Each one has about 760HP.

Use Bristle and any spell with 200+ potency on each bomb.

Alternately, attack with 1000 Needles on each bomb.

Act 2

Enemies

The Forefather

  • Endurance: Above Average
  • Strengths: --
  • Weaknesses: --
  • Vulnerabilities: Slow, Blind

Strategy

  • Bombshell Drop: Spawns in Arena Grenades. Kill (grey) Arena Grenades in one hit before Forefather casts Ignition. If you use 1000 Needles, make sure you don't hit the Forefather.

The second time he casts Bombshell Drop, he will summon a (blue) Arena Gas Grenade. Forefather will then immediately begin casting Burst which will cause wipe.

  • Burst: Use Sticky Tongue to pull the Arena Gas Bomb to the Forefather and the Grenade's Flashtoom will stun the Forefather out of his Burst. However, every spell that hits the (blue) Arena Gas Grenade will reset its cast time, so avoid using AoE spells after positioning it.

If your DPS is high-enough, you can get Forefather down to under 50% HP before he casts Burst and then use Off-guard, Moon Flute, Whistle, and Final Sting to finish him off.
