'''Momodi Modi''' is the owner and proprietor of [[The Quicksand]], the [[Adventurer's Guild]] of [[Ul'dah]]. She welcomes new [[Adventurer]]s into the city-state at the beginning of the game should they choose [[Gladiator]], [[Pugilist]] or [[Thaumaturge]] as their starting [[class]] and registers them with the Guild so that they may provide services in Thanalan.
 
The hairpin she wears was crafted by [[Momoroto]], a friend who gave up his career as a [[Goldsmith]] to become a humble [[Fisher]] in [[Crescent Cove]] after he burnt out from the pressure of the demands placed upon him - Momodi's encouragement only furthering his stress. Since the Calamity, she chooses to wear the hairpin as both a symbol of her desire to stand and fight with those who would follow their dreams and a warning of the dangers of encouraging others to follow dreams that they do not wish to follow.
 
Mistress Momodi is well-known to most citizens of Ul'dah and adventurers who visit the city-state. She is a close friend of [[Kikipu|Kikipu Kipu]] of the Silver Bazaar. Her affections are sought after by a midlander named [[Thomas]] in the quest [[Dream On]].
