A '''Column AoE''', also commonly referred to as a '''Line AoE''', is a basic form of Area of Effect attack that extends from the edge of the enemies hitbox towards a target. Anything within this marked area when the attack finishes casting will be hit by the attack. This AoE type can target a player, an object, or a direction, such as cardinal or intercardinal. They can appear in various widths and lengths, and even track a player's movements, requiring them to guide the attack away from party members. To avoid these attacks, players generally need to simply move out of their telegraphed hitbox before the enemy finishes preparing their attack. |
