A '''Conal AoE''' is a form of [[Area of Effect]] that spreads from the enemy's hitbox outwards in varying degrees of width. Anything within the marked area by the time the attack finishes casting will take damage. This type of AoE is one of the most common, and can appear in any length and width. Many attacks also fire several Conal AoEs from the enemies' hitboxes, or can be set to fire from something called by the enemy. To avoid taking damage from this type of attack, players simply need to move out of the highlighted hitbox before the attack finishes charging.

It's usually in front of the enemy, but can be behind it or at the sides of it in some cases.
