Journal

• Maenne requires your help taking aetheric readings in new locations

• Maenne's scouts have reported several locations that appear to have been host to ancient battles, and have been tasked with obtaining readings of the sites' aetheric levels. However, the scouts scarce have the time to take accurate readings on account of the dragons stalking the area. Maenne asks you to help the scouts and bids you meet the scouting party near Sothton Walls. Speak with the southern scouting party dragoon to see what he requires.

• The diresaurs that hulk about the area are proving to be a nuisance, preventing the scouting party from securely setting up their aetherometers. Distract them and slay three of the beasts so the dragoons can set up the aetherometers undistracted.

• Your fight against the diresaurs provides much-needed exercise for you, and a much-needed distraction to the beleaguered dragoons. Return to the scouting party dragoon and confirm that they were able to safely set up their aetherometers.

• The dragoons were able to set up the aetherometers without incident, and express some regret that they are unable to see you fight for longer.

Maenne: [Forename], while you were assisting our scouts to the northeast, two locations were discovered to the west that appear to be ancient battlefields. I think these would be ideal places to take aetheric measurements.
Maenne: I've sent scouts to each location already, but the ever-present threat of attack makes it difficult for them to obtain accurate readings. Please, [Forename], ensure their safety whilst they perform their duties.
Maenne: Head to Sothton Walls first, and meet with my scout. He'll let you know what's required of you.

Maenne: My scout to the west will tell you what aid we require.

Scouting Party Dragoon: Our scouts have discovered sites that seem to have been host to ancient battles. To imagine the carnage that must have been wrought there...

Speaking with the southern scouting party dragoon

Southern Scouting Party Dragoon: Ah, [Forename], Maenne sent word of your arrival. Your strength shall prove to be a tremendous help to our work.
Southern Scouting Party Dragoon: This area is crawling with diresaurs, making it impossible to set up the aetherometers to obtain accurate readings.
Southern Scouting Party Dragoon: We need you to provide a distraction while we set up the aetherometers. If you slay three of them that should provide us ample time.

Southern Scouting Party Dragoon: It shouldn't take long to finish setting up the aetherometers; we should be done by the time you slay three of them!
