#REDIRECT [[Job]]
Jobs have specialized abilities aimed to perform specific roles in a group setting. Jobs are the same level as their corresponding [[classes]] and can be thought of as specialized modes of the base classes. There are 10 jobs in A Realm Reborn (2.0): [[Warrior]], [[Paladin]], [[Monk]], [[Ninja]] (2.4), [[Dragoon]], [[Bard]], [[White Mage]], [[Black Mage]], [[Summoner]] and [[Scholar]]. Players can unlock jobs by leveling the respective primary [[class]] to level 30 and secondary class to level 15, as well as completing the primary class quest at 30. Note that jobs released in [[Heavensward]] (3.0): [[Dark Knight]], [[Astrologian]] and [[Machinist]], start from level 30 and do not require base classes, instead starting with a full set of abilities of their own.

*Primary class is the class the job links to.
*Secondary class is required to be level 15 to unlock the job.
*The job has all the abilities and traits of the primary class and can use all the cross-class abilities of secondary and tertiary classes. They gain cross-class ability slots every 10 levels instead of 5 like classes. Jobs don't gain any traits or abilities by leveling up (except for the [[Heavensward]] ones), though their base class continues to do so. All Job abilities are earned through job quests.
*The level of the job is the same as its corresponding class and vice versa. For example when a level 47 [[gladiator]] equips its Paladin job stone, the gladiator will turn into a level 47 paladin. If the paladin gains 2 levels and becomes level 49, then when the player removes his or her paladin job stone, the paladin becomes a level 49 gladiator. This also means that the [[Summoner]] and [[Scholar]] jobs will always be at the same level, even if one of the jobs is unlocked much later.
