Feature Quests are quests that unlock new features in the game that are not immediately available to the player. They were first added as a separate category with the unique blue icon in patch 3.3.
This page contains a list of these quests; details can be found on each quest's own page.
Class, Job, and Role Quests
Lv 1-30: Class Quests (required to unlock new combat skills)
Lv 30-70: Job Quests (required to unlock new combat skills)
Lv 70-80: Shadowbringers Role Quests (at least one role must be completed for Main Scenario; all roles must be completed for Void Quests)
Lv 85-90: Endwalker Role Quests (unlocks dyeing for Artifact Armor (Endwalker))
Chronicles of a New Era
Chronicles of a New Era are the primary type of side content, containing the majority of new fights.
Trials
Lv 50: Primal Quests (Ifrit, Titan, and Garuda Hard are required for the Main Scenario)
Lv 60: The Warring Triad Quests
Lv 70: The Four Lords Quests
Lv 80: The Sorrow of Werlyt Quests

Relic Weapons
Relic weapon quests are an optional grind-focused activity. The main reward is cool weapons with glow effects. Beginning with Eureka, these quests also offer storylines, new areas, and special combat systems tied to those areas.

Levequests

These quests unlock access to The Hunt in different regions.
Tribal Quests
The main plotlines of these have all been re-tagged as Feature Quests by patch 3.3.
Tribal quests are daily repeatable quests which build up your reputation with each tribe. The main rewards are experience and cosmetics.
Lv 41-44: Amalj'aa, Sylphs, Kobolds, Sahagin, Ixali (crafting)
Lv 50-60 (quest sync): Vanu Vanu, Vath, Moogles (crafting)
Lv 60-70 (quest sync): Kojin, Ananta, Namazu (crafting/gathering)
Lv 70-80 (quest sync): Pixies, Qitari (gathering), Dwarves (crafting)
Lv 80-90 (quest sync): Arkasodara, Omicron (gathering)
Locations
These quests unlock access to new locations, such as housing districts and The Gold Saucer. This list is only those quests that are optional.
Glamour and Customization
These quests unlock access to glamour, dyes, materia, and other methods of customizing your character and gear.
Emotes
These quests unlock the ability to perform new emotes and this list is only those quests that are optional.
Collectables
Players can unlock Collectables as a system by completing the level 50 quest Inscrutable Tastes. Players start the quest by talking to Morgayne in Foundation (X:10.1 Y:10.4). It requires the prior completion of the level 50 Heavensward MSQ The Better Half.
Additionally, further levels of the Scrip Exchange are unlocked in each expansion. Beginning with Stormblood's Reach Long and Prosper, these quests are single conversations without Journal entries. Once an expansion's inventory is unlocked, it becomes available at all Scrip Exchange NPCs:
Custom Deliveries clients require that you first unlock an expansion's inventory with one of the above quests, but they are optional for unlocking later expansion's Scrip Exchange NPCs.
