Limited Jobs are special jobs that have restrictions when forming parties with other players and participating in duties due to containing mechanics that are not balanced for grouping.

Currently, the only limited job is Blue Mage frame icon.png Blue Mage. An additional limited job will be released late in the patch 7.x series.

Blue mage functions independently of other classes and jobs, starting at level 1 with a maximum level of 80.

When playing as a blue mage, it is not possible to solo queue in Duty Finder, but it is possible to participate in duties with other players in preformed or unrestricted parties. However, the following duties are inaccessible:

Blue mages gain greater experience from battling enemies in the open world than other jobs do.

  • No bonuses are granted to experience gained from FATEFATE or Levequestguildleve enemies.

Blue mage cannot be used to progress through the main scenario.

Retainers cannot be assigned the blue mage job.
