Oft does a wolf call to the moon and receive only the chill howl of the wind in reply. In rare cases, however, answer comes in the form of Skoll, eyes scornful and maw hungering for the soft flesh of man.

Tips and Tricks

Skoll starts the fight alone, but a Firestone Golem (Lightning) and Carrion Griffin (Wind) will appear after about a minute of combat, with their arrival noted by Skoll howling "Awoooooo!"

  • Ecliptic Bite: Skoll targets a random player, then lunges at them for minor damage.
  • The Storm Within: Circle AoE centered on Skoll.
  • The Storm Without: Ring AoE centered on Skoll, leaving melee range safe.
  • Endless Frost: Light unavoidable damage to all nearby players while also creating ice puddles below three random players, which will inflict Deep Freeze icon1.png Deep Freeze on any player who enters them.
  • Ancient Glacier: Circle AoEs below three random players that erupt into icy spikes, dealing high damage.
  • Arcane Howl: Skoll buffs itself with Damage up icon1.png Damage Up for 50 seconds. This can be dispelled with Dispel L.png  Dispel L.
  • Heavensward Howl: A short cone from Skoll's front that deals heavy damage.
  • Hoarhound Halo: A long cone from Skoll's rear that deals heavy damage.

The Firestone Golem will use the following attacks:

  • Trounce: A long cone from the golem's front that deals high damage. This attack has a visual indicator and is also telegraphed by the golem standing on its hind legs.
  • Hard Head: A short cone from the golem's front that deals minor damage.

The Carrion Griffin will only use Freefall, a circle AoE targeted below a random player.
