Master Recipe Tomes unlock the Master category of Special Recipes. These books can be used by corresponding crafting classes, beginning at level 50 for Crafting and Demimateria Tomes, and level 15 for Glamour Tomes. Master Recipe Tomes were introduced in Patch 2.2.
There are three types of Master Recipe Tomes: Master Recipes: Glamour, Master Recipes: Crafting, and Master Recipes: Demimateria.
Master Recipes: Glamours
- Main article: Glamours
Unlock Requirements:
- The quest Submission Impossible.
- Level 15 in the named Disciple of the Hand class.
Acquisition:
As of 4.2, glamour prisms are no longer armor-specific. These Master tomes will unlock the generic Glamour Prism crafting recipe for that Disciple of the Hand class.

Players can receive these books by talking to Talan in Mor Dhona (x22,y6). Players must first complete the quest Just Tooling Around.
To obtain the first master recipe books you are required to hand in 1 HQ item. Below is an overview of the items required.
- Master Goldsmith I: 1 Rose Gold Ingot (HQ)
- Master Blacksmith I: 1 Darksteel Ingot (HQ)
- Master Armorer I: 1 Darksteel Ingot (HQ)
- Master Carpenter I: 1 Treated Spruce Lumber (HQ)
- Master Leatherworker I: 1 Hard Hippogryph Leather (HQ)
- Master Weaver I: 1 Vanya Silk (HQ)
- Master Alchemist I: 1 Growth Formula Delta Concentrate (HQ)
- Master Culinarian I: 1 Sauteed Coeurl (HQ)
To obtain the second master recipe books you are required to hand in 1 HQ crafted item. Below is an overview of the items required.
- Master Goldsmith II: 1 Calibrated Rose Gold Cog (HQ)
- Master Blacksmith II: 1 Balanced Darksteel Hook (HQ)
- Master Armorer II: 1 Reinforced Darksteel Wire (HQ)
- Master Carpenter II: 1 Reinforced Spruce Plywood (HQ)
- Master Leatherworker II: 1 Water-hardened Hippogryph Strap (HQ)
- Master Weaver II: 1 Intricate Silver Brocade (HQ)
- Master Alchemist II: 1 Concentrated Spirits of Salt (HQ)
- Master Culinarian II: 1 Rich Tomato Relish (HQ)
Artisan Crafting Tools Patch 2.45
To obtain the artisan tools you'll have to craft 22 master recipes.

- Artisan's Raising Hammer: 2 Darksteel Wire (HQ)

Supra Crafting Tools Patch 2.38
To get the item level 75 main hand tool for each class, you must turn in 1 3-star token, as well as 1 Mastercraft Demimateria and the base tool.

Players can purchase Master Demimateria recipe books from Talan in Mor Dhona (x22,y6). Each book cost 1 Fieldcraft Demimateria I and 1 Battlecraft Demimateria I.
