Seven Heavens
The Seven Heavens refers to the final place of rest for the Twelve after they had finished their labors and built the realm of Eorzea. These seven heavens are associated with an astral-aligned element that the particular god or goddess holds dominion over, with an overarching seventh heaven to encompass them all. By creating these Seven Heavens, the resultant residual byproduct created Seven Hells-six Hells associated with the umbral-aligned elements, and an overarching Hell to encompass them all.
The heavens are represented in the sky by six constellations. Astrologians refer to these constellations as "Gates" that can be opened and will allow a person to attune themselves with the heavens, granting them incredible power to manipulate their aether. These constellations can be observed rotating around a "pole star", which is believed to be the final gate to the Seventh Heaven.
It is widely believed that the righteous are promised a place in the halls of the heavens of their patron deity, while evildoers and sinners are damned to suffer the trials of the Seven Hells for eternity. Expounding on this, each heaven and hell has various actions associated to enter into it, and what they are designed for. For example, depending on the sins that are committed in their lifetime, an individual will be sent to a layer of Hell and must journey through the other layers of Hell after suffering an eternity of punishment. When they reach the gates of the Seventh Hell, their heart is weighed. If it is heavy with sorrow and repentance for what they have done, the gate to the Heavens will be opened. If they remain light after their journey, the gates to the Seventh Hell will open, and they will be made to suffer forevermore.
The Elemental Heavens

In the Heaven of Fire sprawls an endless city built by Nald'thal from golden bricks fired in the heat of Azeyma's sun. Here reside the just and the fair, the onest and the philanthropic.
The Heaven of Water
To create the river which runs through the Heaven of Water, Nymeia melted a star, to which Thaliak added the essence of knowledge and then poured it forth from his Ewer. Here reside the scholars and inventors, the teachers and the entrepreneurs.
The Heaven of Wind
In the Heaven of Wind rises a towering mountain range atop which Oschon looks out upon an endless sea ruled by Llymlaen. Here rest explorers and adventurers, mountain climbers, saints and those who rescued the aforementioned souls from peril.
The Heaven of Ice
In the center of the Heaven of Ice rises a lofty palace of ice-ice made of frozen moonbeams and carved with The Fury's own spear. Here reside epic heroes and gallant knights, the benevolent and the faithful.
The Heaven of Lightning
In the Heaven of Lightning, one will find a towering clockwork spire built by Byregot with metal forged from a comet and powered by Rhalgr's levin bolts. Here rest engineers and architects, revolutionaries and conquerors of evil.
The Heaven of Earth
To create the Heaven of Earth, Nophica planted a single sapling which Althyk instantly coaxed to maturity by bending time itself. Under this mighty sentinel's boughs sit farmers and naturalists, historians and archaeologists.
