The Sword of Music is a stage in The Masked Carnivale for Blue Mage, introduced in patch 4.5 with Stormblood.

Act 1

Enemies

Right Claw

  • Endurance: Average
  • Strengths: --
  • Weaknesses: Lightning Lightning
  • Vulnerabilities: All status effects, except Interrupt

Left Claw

  • Endurance: Average
  • Strengths: --
  • Weaknesses: Lightning Lightning
  • Vulnerabilities: All status effects, except Interrupt

Strategy

Use Magical Damage.png magical attacks on Right Claw. Use Physical Damage.png physical attacks on Left Claw.

  • Try to use single-target spells such as Sonic Boom.png  Sonic Boom and Sharpened Knife.png  Sharpened Knife to ensure only the targeted hand is hit.
  • Hitting the wrong hand reflects about half of the player's HP in damage - so if using AoEs, be prepared to cast White Wind.png  White Wind between attacks.

Act 2

Enemies

Kreios

Strategy

Spawns a Right Claw and Left Claw at around 50% HP. Use magical attacks on Right Claw. Use physical attacks on Left Claw.

  • Using The Ram's Voice.png  The Ram's Voice and Ultravibration.png  Ultravibration combo will work on the boss and skip the Claws. Otherwise, whittle away at the boss while keeping note of the Right and Left Claw spawns and dealing with them with the appropriate physical/magical attacks.
  • The boss's Grand Strike line AoEs come out fast and in sets of 3. Be prepared to sidestep quickly.
