Having finally overcome Eden in a battle of wills, Ryne is now in control of the enormous sin eater, which now drifts high above the Empty. Your celebrations are short-lived, however, as Ryne detects the presence of unknown enemies making their way towards Eden's core. While Thancred and Urianger rush to intercept a swarm of foes approaching from inside, you head to the upper reaches to face the threat from the above.

— In-game description

Eden's Gate: Descent is a level 80 raid introduced in patch 5.01 with Shadowbringers.

Voidwalker Abilities

Video Guide
  • Note: It is possible to walk off or be pushed off the edge of the arena and die.
  • Doomvoid Guillotine: Line AoE the length of the arena, in the direction Voidwalker is facing. After the cast goes off, several untargetable Nyx adds will emerge from the line and scatter to either side, inflicting stacks of Infirmity on contact.
  • Doomvoid Slicer: Ring AoE covering the room with a safe zone under Voidwalker. After the cast goes off, four Nyx will emerge from the edges of the room and converge on the spot that was the safe zone, inflicting stacks of Infirmity on contact.
  • Shadowflame: Tankbuster on both tanks
  • Dark Fire III: Four random players are targeted with a large AoE and must spread to not overlap them.
  • Unholy Darkness: Stack marker on a random player.
  • Spell-in-Waiting: Causes Voidwalker's next spell to be heavily delayed. The markers for the attack will appear over the player, but will then be replaced with a clock that slowly ticks down until the spell finally goes off. When the timer reaches five seconds left, a dice marker will appear counting down to zero, similar to Acceleration Bomb. Voidwalker will use Dark Fire III, Unholy Darkness, or Shadoweye with this ability.
  • Entropy: Heavy damage to the entire party.
  • Hand of Erebos: A large hand will appear along one of the wider edges of the arena and use Empty Hate, an AoE that covers the entire platform that deals minor damage and pushes players away from the hand. Stand next to the hand to avoid being knocked off the platform.
  • Punishing Ray: Five meteor/tower AoEs will appear randomly around the platform. Players standing in a tower will be inflicted with a weak Bleed debuff, but standing in a tower will prevent its attack from hitting the entire party.
  • Shadoweye: Gaze attack marker on a random player. Inflicts Petrification on players looking at the targeted player.
