(Norvrandt)

The lavender foliage of this Lakeland forest is lovely to behold, but even those familiar with its boughs have been known to lose their way. Legend has it that a local shepherd set off into the woods in search of a stray lamb, and never found his way out again.

— Encyclopaedia Eorzea Volume III, p. 104

The Forest of the Lost Shepherd is an area in Lakeland, Norvrandt.

Wolves of Shadow

This ruined mansion was once home to a high-ranking elven noble—a man who had pledged fealty to the Shadowkeeper in the hopes of restoring his people's supremacy. In return for his allegiance, he and his entire family were transformed into lupine soldiers, and to this day do they wander the land as fell beasts.

Landmark (map icon).png
Radisca's Round

Located in the center of Lakeland, this watchtower is named in honor of a soldier who saved countless lives when he warned of a flying swarm of sin eaters. The soldier himself was slain in battle, having chosen to remain at the tower and delay the eaters' pursuit.

Landmark (map icon).png
The Hour of Certain Durance

Built during the elven rule of Lakeland, this prison held those accused of murder, insurgency, and similarly heinous misdeeds. Unable to escape their cells when the hordes came, the prisoners faced unjust punishment at the claws of sin eaters, with many succumbing to the dreadful metamorphosis.

Landmark (map icon).png
Mortal Irons

Erstwhile home to the wardens of the Hour of Certain Durance, this dwelling was abandoned along with the prison when the region was swarmed with sin eaters, its original name discarded in favor of its present somber title.

Landmark (map icon).png
Embrasure

The branching trunk of a giant tree has created this naturally sheltered campsite. Elven patrols would take their rest here, likening the gaps between boles to the openings in a parapet.
