Doman Enclave Reconstruction is a series of efforts by the Doman people to rebuild and revitalize the Doman Enclave in Yanxia. Players may contribute to this cause by donating unwanted items in exchange for a small gratuity. Over time, the enclave will change to reflect these donations. Unlike Revenant's Toll, Idyllshire, and the Ishgardian Restoration, the Doman Enclave Reconstruction can still be experienced by new players, and at the same pace as originally intended, due to weekly donation limits.

Donating Items
To donate items to the cause, players must interact with the Donation Basket located at the Shazenkai. For every item donated, players will receive a gratuity amounting to a sum of gil slightly higher (120%) than what would normally be received when selling those items to a regular vendor. This gratuity increases (180%) after completing the first phase of reconstruction efforts (120,000 gil donated), and increases yet again (200%) after further progress (160,000 gil donated). The enclave has a limited weekly budget of 20,000 gil used to pay for this gratuity, and as such, players may only donate so many items each week. This budget increases to 25,000 gil, 30,000 gil, and 40,000 gil after the enclave has made considerable progress (160,000 gil, 210,000 gil, and 270,000 gil donated, respectively). The budget will reset every week on Tuesday at 1:00 a.m. (PDT).

For every item donated, players will receive a gratuity amounting to a sum of gil slightly higher (120%) than what would normally be received when selling those items to a regular vendor. This gratuity increases in stages (up to 200%) after various milestones of the reconstruction efforts. The enclave has a limited weekly budget of 20,000 gil used to pay for this gratuity, and as such, players may only donate so many items each week. This budget increases in stages up to to 40,000 gil based on reconstruction milestones (see table below for details). The budget resets every Tuesday at 8 a.m. GMT. (see also: Weekly reset)

If an item is donated by mistake, the last 100 items donated by the player can be reclaimed from the Reclamation Box for a small fee. Items reclaimed in this manner will no longer contribute to reconstruction efforts. Note that items will be removed from the Reclamation Box upon logging out or changing areas.

An easy way to hit the weekly cap is to send retainers on 18-hour Exploration Ventures, and donate stacks of the Allagan Silver Piece Allagan Pieces that they bring back with their materials. Another good option is Clear Demimateria I and higher grades from Eureka.
- Save all the Allagan money bags you get in the game, such as the silver pieces. You may keep them on your chocobo saddle or somewhere until you get to this and you’ll have plenty to start out rebuilding with, or maybe even finish it.
- Once you've donated 20k for the week and talked to someone (an icon pops on the map), go back to the donation box and interact with it again, as there may be more cutscenes and/or progress for that week that isn’t immediately evident.

As the player continues to donate items to the Donation Basket, the Doman Enclave will begin to show visible progress in its reconstruction. The first phase of reconstruction efforts from Patch 4.3 ends at 120,000 gil donated; all further donations contribute to the second phase from Patch 4.4.

Kozakura: On behalf of the Shazenkai, [Forename], I thank you for your support.  The proceeds from your contributions have already been used to great effect. But I would not have you take me at my word alone.  I pray you pay a visit to Mitsuba of the Ten Thousand Stalls. She should be glad to tell you of the progress they have made.
Kozakura: Before you think to make any further donations, I would ask that you go and speak with Mitsuba. You should know what you have helped to build.
Mitsuba: Good to see you again, [Forename]. Kozakura tells me you've been quite generous of late. On behalf of all of us, I thank you.  As you can see, we've got the frames up now. Just the bones of what's to come, but perhaps it's easier than before to imagine how that stall over there will one day be a proper kitchen.  Unfortunately, we've yet to address the poor supply issue. While it's true we've no shortage of rice and a few varieties of vegetables...some river fish as well, there's little else of note.  The land here's always been well suited to rice cultivation, and you can't blame a farmer for taking advantage of that...but a man can't live off rice and nothing else.  Hunting was more viable in the past, but these days you can't go more than halfway down the road to the next village without tripping over a shikigami or worse. Not much game to be found, at any rate─unless you're keen to try cooking koja, and I'm not.  Which leaves fish and whatever livestock we can raise on our own...which is not nearly enough to meet our needs. <sigh>
???: Brother!? Brother! Can you stand? Speak to me!
Bedraggled Buduga: I have no strength to rise, brother. The void within my belly is all-consuming... Leave me. Only the firewalker matters. The Buduga...the Buduga must thrive...
Beggarly Buduga: Mine own vision grows dim, brothers. So distracted was I by the Lupin's lengthy lectures that I paid no heed to my growing hunger.
Brotherly Buduga: I fear we are undone. Too far from the Steppe have we come to return for rations, and I have yet to see a single sheep in this stronghold...
Mitsuba: I say, you lot look as though you're in dire need of a meal. We've got rice balls to spare, if you like.
Brotherly Buduga: You would share with us your food? We would be eternally grateful!
Brotherly Buduga: Delicious...delicious! I have emerged from dark into light, and my full belly now basks in the sun! In shape and color it reminds me of buuz, though it lacks any sort of filling...
Mitsuba: Buuz...the Xaela delicacy, I presume. A steamed dumpling or some such...  They're a fair bit different, aye, but you can use all sorts of things as filling for rice balls. Miso flavored meat is one of my personal favorites, in fact. Unfortunately, we're having trouble securing a steady supply of meat at the moment.
Brotherly Buduga: Unconscionable. Without meat, your bodies will not grow strong and robust. A Buduga who does not eat meat is no Buduga.  The traders of the Steppe are rich in that which you lack, and will gladly trade meat for your produce. In gratitude for your kindness, let us make introductions on your behalf.
Mitsuba: Well! Far be it from me to refuse. Wait until the Shazenkai hears about this!
Brotherly Buduga: Our tribe, the Buduga, will gladly give you all the meat that you desire... ...If you will give us the one you call Hien.
What will you say? Sure, why not. / You're asking a bit much... -> Sure, why not.
Mitsuba: Why not? Why not!? Be careful who hears you, [Forename]─Lady Yugiri and Hakuro might not take kindly to your jests!
25k donated
Kozakura: On behalf of the Shazenkai, [Forename], I thank you for your support.  I am pleased to inform you that we have made great strides in our efforts to rebuild the enclave!
Owing to your many contributions, the Ten Thousand Stalls have seen further development. As you continue to contribute to the Shazenkai and the reconstruction effort, in what other ways might the Doman Enclave grow and change?
35k donated
Kozakura: On behalf of the Shazenkai, [Forename] I thank you for your support. As you may recall, several Buduga tribesmen offered to provide introductions to Xaela traders in Reunion. Subsequent negotiations went well, and we have at last begun to receive shipments of foodstuffs and other goods from the Steppe! Mitsuba can tell you more─and I expect she would like very much to do so.
Mitsuba: What do you think, [Forename]? We've come a long way from a pile of sticks, wouldn't you say? Care for a steamed bun? We have a selection from which you may choose, from meat-filled ones prepared in the Xaela fashion, to more traditional Doman ones packed full of vegetables, to others with a sweet bean-paste filling!  Or if you'd rather have a heaping helping of rice with a bowl of soup, my man on the right can sort you out. It's got plenty of radish─just the way rich folks like it! By the kami, the smell alone is enough to feed the soul. And it's all thanks to you, my friend. We couldn't have come this far without your help.
Earnest Fisherman: Begging your pardon, but are you Mistress Mitsuba? The one in charge of the stalls? I'm here on behalf of the village of Isari...
Mitsuba: Aye, I'm Mitsuba. You've business with me, then? Let's hear it.
Earnest Fisherman: Well, er...we were hoping you might consider entering an agreement, whereby we would supply you with local goods. Not just for fish, mind. Shellfish, seaweed─if it's in the Ruby Sea, we can deliver it to your doorstep. As much as you're willing to pay for.
Mitsuba: That's quite the offer, and one I've little reason to refuse, but it's quite sudden and surprising. I wasn't aware of any seasonal surplus...
Earnest Fisherman: Oh, there's no surplus. Our catch is the same as always. Rather, we've got more, err...helping hands? A certain collective, you might say... It's the Confederacy, mistress. They're eager to trade the bounty of the sea for that of the land─vegetables, meat, spirits. Mostly spirits, I'd wager.
Mitsuba: Ah, so that's the way of it. Even a pirate grows tired of the usual fare─especially when the usual fare is kelp or something wrapped in it! I see no reason to refuse you and your partners. After all, they were indispensable in the liberation of our homeland. Giving them a taste of Yanxia's the very least we can do to repay them! The bounty of the sea, you said? I can't stop thinking about what we could serve! Boiled or blackened─or served raw, even, if we get it fresh enough. You've got octopus, yes? It's been too long since I had octopus!
Earnest Fisherman: I could have a barrel of usuginu octopus delivered here today if you like. And judging from that ravenous look on your face, I gather you would!
Construction of the Ten Thousand Stalls is proceeding apace, and trade with the pirates and fishermen of the Ruby Sea should soon lead to a wider variety of foodstuffs. As you continue to contribute to the Shazenkai and the reconstruction effort, in what other ways might the Doman Enclave grow and change?
Completion of Ten Thousand Stalls (45k)
Kozakura: On behalf of the Shazenkai, [Forename], I thank you for your support. I am pleased to inform you that we have made great strides in our efforts to rebuild the enclave!
Kozakura: I am pleased to announce that, at long last, our plans for the Ten Thousand Stalls are complete! Every tenant is open for business, and the food is the talk of the enclave! You really must go and see. Mitsuba is expecting you!
Mitsuba: I've been waiting for you two to arrive. It's past time you saw the Ten Thousand Stalls in all their finished glory! Look around─take it all in! See what our hard work has built, and smell what we've got cooking!
Kozakura: We had plans and diagrams, but this... I hardly recognize it. It's wonderful, Mitsuba. Never in my wildest dreams could I have pictured it better. This is your accomplishment too, [Forename]. On behalf of the Shazenkai, I cannot thank you enough for your generous contributions.
Mitsuba: Stop! I'll not hear another word of praise from you until you've at least sampled some of our humble fare! A cook can't trust a customer's compliments if they haven't touched the food, can she? And, quite frankly, if the sights and smells of this place aren't making your mouths water, then I've already failed. Find an open table and prepare yourselves, because you're not leaving here until you've had the very best we have to offer!
Kozakura: That was quite possibly the most delicious meal I have ever had. Is this what a koja feels like, I wonder...
Mitsuba: Well? Had enough? If not, I can bring you another serving.
Kozakura: Kami forfend, I could not eat another bite! Not that I am not tempted to try, I assure you, but I fear I might die in the attempt.
Mitsuba: Hah, now that's what I like to hear! A customer forced to choose between good sense and another bite. You couldn't've paid me a finer compliment.
Mitsuba: ...And now that I've stuffed you full of enough food to cloud your judgment, you'll forgive me if I broach a more serious subject. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but all of our cookware─our pots and pans, stoves even─are far past their prime. Most were cheap imports from other provinces. Was easier to replace everything instead of trying to maintain goods that weren't made to last.
Kozakura: You're not the first to bring this issue to our attention. Others have had difficulty obtaining tools to go about their work more effectively. At the moment, the Shazenkai is considering two proposals...
Kozakura: The first is that we concentrate our efforts on rebuilding our industry. We give to our people the means to craft that which they require─thereby addressing domestic demands first and foremost. The second is that we concentrate our efforts on producing wares for foreign consumption. We bring foreign wealth to Doma, and trade for that which we lack. Both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages, to be fair, but pursuing both simultaneously isn't really feasible...
Tsuranuki: Why do you fret over such nonsense, girl? This is no dilemma! Doma shall stand proud and tall and alone! We will make what we need! Well met, warrior of the West. Too long has it been since you convinced an old fool to fashion armor for young ones! In search of a stiff drink did I come to these stalls, only to overhear a tale I could not ignore─and to cross paths with a bitter foe!
???: Bitter foe? Hardly. Not that I would expect an imbecile with an iron head to know friend from enemy─or his own reflection, for that matter.
Kozakura: [Forename], allow me to introduce to you Master Araragi. Like Master Tsuranuki, he is artisan without peer, who once managed the paper mills of the enclave.
Araragi: I should thank you not to compare me to this dotard of a smith, child. More importantly, I should caution you against his advice. Your second proposal─that of favoring foreign trade─has far greater merit. Despite our best efforts, Doma is still a  far cry from what it once was, and we have not the capacity to rebuild it ourselves. We must first look elsewhere to secure that which we lack.
Tsuranuki: All talk and no guts! All the strength of a paper tiger! Or is that your clever plan? Convince these people to help you sell paper for iron!?
Araragi: You...you mad, blustering oaf! How dare you!
Kozakura: W-We could have a district for both craftsmen and artisans! One where we create both tools for everyday use and goods to sell in foreign markets! “The Yard,” let's call it! Then everyone would be happy, yes!? At least, in theory...right?
At the completion of the Ten Thousand Stalls, an ambitious plan for a new area is born! The Yard, a home for craftsman and artisan alike!
50k donated
Kozakura: Work on the Yard has begun in earnest, as you may have noticed. It will encompass a rather large section of the enclave, including the area directly behind me.
Kozakura: You see, after deliberation, the Shazenkai concluded that we would need to secure much more space for this plan to succeed─far in excess of what we designated for the Ten Thousand Stalls.
Kozakura: This might not have been the case had we not decided to carry out two proposals that are arguably at cross purposes...but so be it.
Kozakura: At the very least, I am told Master Tsuranuki is in high spirits. Perhaps you might consider calling on him and seeing the workers' progress?
Tsuranuki: Ah, there's the warrior! Heard you the good word? The Shazenkai has put their plans in motion. I will have my smithy once more!
Tsuranuki: Never dared I dream that this day would come. Doma burned, Lord Kaien died─all because we were fools, and never again would I be a fool.
Tsuranuki: But then you and the boy, Isse, and the girl, Lyse, you spoke sense. Better to risk death as a fool than suffer a life without dreams...
Tsuranuki: Bah, what is this blubbering which consumes me! Enough─let us speak of the work! That is what matters, aye!
Tsuranuki: The carpenters have claimed that site for their own. My blood may run with iron, but even I know Doma wants for lumber, so with wood we begin!
Tsuranuki: Blessed are we to live at the mouth of the One River, in such a humid clime. There are few teachers better than rot and rust, bwahahaha!
Tsuranuki: And here will be my smithy! A home for forge and anvil─but not yet, not yet.
Tsuranuki: Much iron lies beneath Doma's soil, waiting to be claimed, waiting to be shaped.
Tsuranuki: All that we need, she provides. Water, wood, ore─the materials are ours to command. To forge into tools for farmers, cooks. For all!
Tsuranuki: ...Or so it once was. Imperial robbers and sneakthieves stole much of our mineral wealth. For the Empire! Pah!
Tsuranuki: To other provinces they would send Doma's riches, and in return we received their refuse. Rusted pots. Broken plows!
Tsuranuki: A travesty it was, and still is! Still we rely on inferior tools forced upon us by conquerors─but no longer! Doma knows what Doma needs, and she will make it with her own two hands!
Tsuranuki: To this end I will give everything. I swear! But I should like to see it before I die, and to that end, we will need your help! Bwahahaha!
Construction of the Yard is proceeding apace, and Tsuranuki is confident that he will soon have the means to craft a wide variety of tools to fulfill the needs of the people of Doma.
Owing to your many contributions, the Yard has seen further development.
60k
Kozakura: As I am sure you are aware, the southern portion of the Yard under Master Tsuranuki's supervision is coming along quite well. Moreover, construction of the buildings adjacent to my office has begun.
Kozakura: Several of these buildings have been designated for the production of traditional Doman arts and crafts, including paper. You may recall the gentleman we met in the stalls the other day, Master Araragi? He will be overseeing matters there.
Kozakura: Come to think of it, perhaps you should go and introduce yourself to him? I know not if you have spoken with him since, but given the circumstances of that first meeting, he may not remember you...
Araragi: [Forename], was it? Forgive me. During our brief encounter at the stalls, I neglected to introduce myself properly.
Araragi: I am Araragi. A papermaker by trade. 'Tis all I have ever known in my altogether too-long life...
Kozakura: Greetings, Master Araragi. The construction of your paper mill is proceeding as planned, I trust?
Araragi: More or less, aye. Though it has not escaped my notice that progress on the ironmonger's workshops is outpacing mine.
Kozakura: A...a thousand pardons, Master Araragi! You may be assured that the Shazenkai has not chosen to favor either one of your proposals over the other─
Araragi: I know that full well, child. Save your apologies. I but give voice to my frustration at falling behind the old goat.
Kozakura: If Master Tsuranuki has wronged or offended you in some fashion, perhaps the Shazenkai could arbitrate...
Araragi: No, no, there is no need for anything so dramatic. We have a long and storied history, he and I. Though our paths diverged long ago, we are peers─masters of our respective trades.
Araragi: And yet, every time we cross paths, I cannot help but see him as the reckless apprentice he once was. He brings out the worst in me...
Araragi: But never mind that. You wished to know of our progress, yes? As you can see, all is on schedule. Your contributions have helped us to come far indeed.
Araragi: Though it will be some time before we can begin producing paper as before, rest assured that the day will come before you know it─and the quality will surpass all expectations.
Araragi: For centuries, Doman paper has been coveted the world over, and with good reason. The fibers of the kozo─a variety of your Western “mulberry” I believe─and the waters of the One River combine to create a product like none other.
Araragi: Each sheet is produced one at a time with a technique unchanged since antiquity. Though relatively quick, the process takes years to master. Yet the effort is well worth it.
Araragi: Doman paper was prized for both its durability and its beauty, so much so that merchants would bicker and squabble and strive to outbid one another, so certain they were that they could still turn a profit. Indeed, it was arguably our most successful export.
Araragi: Kami willing, it will be again. Which reminds me─Kozakura, my dear, I trust you have given thought to whom we might sell our paper, once production has commenced in earnest?
Araragi: While I am aware of our agreements with the Xaela traders and the Confederacy, I doubt very much that these parties will put much store by our product.
Kozakura: We have made inquiries, but have yet to receive any replies...
Kozakura: But you needn't worry about such things! We will see to the mercantile matters─you and your workers should devote your energies to building the mill!
Araragi: Have no doubt that we are. I mislike losing to my iron-headed competitor.
Araragi: The road ahead is long, but I pray you will continue to walk it with us.
Construction of the Yard is proceeding apace, and Kozakura is confident that the Shazenkai will have found a wholesale trader willing to purchase paper by the time Araragi's mill is ready to begin production.
65k
Kozakura: Much progress has been made on the Yard owing to Master Tsuranuki's guidance. I have no doubt he would enjoy telling you of his triumphs...
Kozakura: As it happens, I expect I will soon have wonderful news to deliver to him as well. I should be glad if you were present for it.
Tsuranuki: Again we are graced by the warrior's presence, to whom we owe so much!
Tsuranuki: Look, look! Is it not a thing of beauty? Glorious and splendid?
Tsuranuki: Quick as a flash the carpenters work, putting my smiths to shame, but so be it! More time for them to finally use that which they have built!
Hozan: Master Tsuranuki! [Forename]!
Tsuranuki: By the kami! What sorcery is this!?
Tsuranuki: The boy Hozan, here? But you were for the West, on Lady Yugiri's boat!
Hozan: To Eorzea's shores, aye. There we remained for some time, but we are returned at last, Master Tsuranuki─all of us!
Kozakura: All of the refugees who left Revenant's Toll safely arrived not long ago. They are resting from their long journey at present, but you should see them out and about soon enough.
Kozakura: Thank you again for helping to secure their passage home. This day has been far too long in coming, and were it not for you, I fear we would still be waiting.
Hozan: I am told you have contributed much to the restoration of the enclave as well. Truly, my friend, your generosity knows no bounds.
Hozan: Once we have regained our strength, we too shall join in the reconstruction!
Tsuranuki: Much fire in the belly as always, boy, but you and yours need homes. Beds upon which to lay down and rest. I'll not see you sleeping in the streets!
Tsuranuki: Take what you need from our materials, Kozakura, and have housing built for our brothers and sisters! It must be done!
Kozakura: Y-Yes, of course! As you wish, Master Tsuranuki! I will consult with the Shazenkai and make the necessary arrangements.
Kozakura: Is it not wonderful, [Forename], how our people care for one another?
Construction of the Yard is proceeding apace, and while resources have been diverted to provide housing for the returned refugees, all are in agreement that it is for the best.
80k
Kozakura: I am pleased to inform you that we have made great strides in our efforts to rebuild the enclave!
Owing to your many contributions, the Yard has seen further development.
100k
Kozakura: As you may recall, Master Tsuranuki bade us reallocate resources for the construction of housing for the recently returned refugees.
Kozakura: Though they are not yet finished, progress has been most swift, and soon we shall be able to give our brothers and sisters a proper welcome home.
Kozakura: Some improvements have also been made to the buildings behind me. Master Araragi can tell you more, if you like.
Araragi: Well met, my friend, well met!
Araragi: It is still not much, I know. A ship in drydock, only beginning to take shape. And yet, when I look on it, I feel a stirring in my breast...
Araragi: You wonder as to the purpose of yonder building? It is to serve as a storefront.
Araragi: Of late the enclave has seen increased traffic─visitors from near and far. We cannot afford to give them anything less than the best impression, and so I thought to sell decorations and other colorful papercraft.
Araragi: Perchance you are familiar with kazagu─ Ah, yes, there is a word you know for this. Pinwheels. Miniature windmills made of paper, yes?
Araragi: As the wind blows, the little wheels spin. A simple child's pleasure, to look on one held in the hand, perhaps, but the sight of many arranged is a rather more grand spectacle.
Araragi: Still, I expect little profit will come from sales to what few customers we receive here. Wholesale traders remain the key to our success.
Araragi: The other day Kozakura told me that they had a promising lead, but she has yet to give me further details. I cannot help but wonder what sort of individual or concern they are...
Kozakura: Master Araragi, [Forename]! I had a mind to speak with you both. I have news regarding a concern willing to purchase our paper wholesale!
Araragi: Do you now? We were just discussing that very subject.
Hozan: I know not if you were aware, but we were contacted by the Shazenkai before we left Eorzea, and on their behalf explored various avenues by which we might sell paper and papercraft to the merchants of the West.
Hozan: Through an intermediary we contacted several trading concerns...
Hozan: One rather large and highly successful company expressed an interest in entering into an arrangement. I can say with...some confidence that they will...do their utmost to ensure that we all profit.
Araragi: Well, such wonderful news! Though I must ask─what is the company in question? If it is as successful as you say, perhaps our Eorzean patron knows it?
Hozan: Ro...
Hozan: Rowena's House of Splendors...
What will you say? I'd sooner suggest they sell their souls to a voidsent. / Surely nothing bad will come of this. Surely. -> I'd sooner suggest they sell their souls to a voidsent.
Hozan: I will not deny that we too had our misgivings! Every man, woman, and child of Revenant's Toll well knows her reputation...
Hozan: But 'tis better to have such a ruthless merchant as an ally rather than a foe, is it not? None will fight more fervently on our behalf...I pray.
Araragi: ...I suspect there is a story I am not being told. Regardless, we have found a partner, and this is a positive development, yes?
Araragi: Then we shall resume our labors and strive to complete our paper mill as soon as possible! Back to work, everyone!
Construction of the Yard is proceeding apace, and the Shazenkai is prepared to enter into a contract with Rowena's House of Splendors, from which Doma will surely profit. Surely.
Kozakura: The “race” between Masters Tsuranuki and Araragi grows more heated. I know I should not encourage them, but I must confess a small measure of excitement.

Having cast off the imperial yoke after twenty-five years, the people of Doma are free at last. A new day dawns...but it will be a day of work, for the enclave many call home remains a shadow of its former self. The Shazenkai, an organization formed to facilitate the reconstruction and revitalization of the settlement, is prepared to lead the way─but they will need to look to others if they are to succeed in this bold endeavor.

— Patch 4.3 Official Website

An easy way to hit the weekly cap is to send retainers on 18-hour Exploration Ventures, and donate stacks of the Allagan silver piece icon1.png  Allagan Pieces that they bring back with their materials. Another good option is Clear demimateria i icon1.png  Clear Demimateria I and higher grades from Eureka.

Reconstruction Progress

As the player continues to donate items to the Donation Basket, the Doman Enclave will begin to show visible progress in its reconstruction. The first phase of reconstruction efforts from Patch 4.3 ends at 120,000 gil donated. Completion of Main Scenario QuestEmissary of the Dawn is required to donate more after 120,000 gil. All further donations contribute to the second phase from Patch 4.4.

Donation Dialogue
