Flavor Text
A desperate mage's last resort, this technique converts all of the user's life force to an aetherial poison that is then injected into a single adversary. Suffice it to say that, as with the physical sting of the wespe, it should not be relied upon in but the most dire of circumstances.
Acquisition
Creature | Level | Race | Clan | Location |
---|---|---|---|---|
Huge Hornet | 1-4 | Vilekin | Wespe | Central Thanalan (18.3,26.5) |
Killer Wespe | 10-13 | Vilekin | Wespe | Middle La Noscea (15.2,15.4) |

Tips
Acquisition Tips
- Wait for the enemy to cast Final Sting. Tag it (ie, hit it at least once), but do not kill it.
- Make sure you keep your HP high or full since Final Sting will kill the enemy using it. You don't need to worry about how to kill the target, but you do need to be concerned about staying alive! If you die, you will not learn the spell.
Other Tips
- "Incapacitate" here means "KO", as in you'll need a Raise to get back up afterward.
- This spell can also be used as a pseudo-teleport to the player's Return point, since you are sent there upon being KO'd, and you can use this spell to KO yourself on command. However, unlike Self-destruct, Final Sting requires an enemy target in order to cast it - meaning it cannot be cast in safe zones.
- Since this spell KO's you, it will lower your Gear Durability when you use it.
