Guildhests are daily quests that players can complete for experience and gil. Unlike [[Guildleve]]s, which are solo-able, Guildhests require the co-operative efforts of a group of players.

Main article: Duties
Guildhesticon.png

Guildhests are instanced group duties, usually involving a mini-dungeon or boss fight, that players can complete for experience and gil.

Guildhests were initially designed to teach players basic party mechanics that would purportedly be needed later on during Dungeons and Trials. However, due to battle design changes in the intervening years, the mechanics that Guildhests teach have long since become obsolete. For example, the first Guildhest, Guildhest Basic Training: Enemy Parties, teaches players to pull enemies one at a time when modern dungeon design involves multiple trash mob groups that almost always link and are impossible to separate.

There have been no further improvements or additions to Guildhests since their introduction in Patch 2.0. Players looking to improve their understanding of modern party mechanics are instead advised to visit the Hall of the Novice, which offers role-specific tutorials starting at Level 15 and tactical tutorials at Level 48 after completing Main Scenario QuestHearts on Fire. Completing these tutorials rewards players with two EXP-boosting rings, making them a more relevant and rewarding option for new players.

While initial Guildhests are quite easy, later guildhests become slightly more difficult. After completing at least one Guildleve, you can then talk to a Battlewarden after completing Feature QuestSimply the Hest (starting region specific) to unlock Guildhests.

Gil Gil, Experience experience, and Company seal Grand Company Seals are rewards for completing Guildhests. There is also a initial first-time bonus awarded per job, per character (not available for Shadowbringers and later jobs).

Guildhests cannot be completed using an unrestricted party ("unsyncing").

Unlocking Guildhests

There is an extra step to unlocking Guildhests. Note the following step requires that you do it in the region in which your character originally started FFXIV. Look under Character→Profile→City-State if you need a reminder what city your character is from. You can unlock the Guildleves in regions that are not where your character is originally from, but doing so will not trigger Feature QuestSimply the Hest.

To enter specific Guildhests, you must be at the required level otherwise the duty will not be available. Duty Roulette Duty Roulette: Guildhests unlocks immediately upon completion of the first guildhest. The roulette can select from any of your unlocked guildhests, even if you have not yet completed your most recently unlocked guildhest.
