Seal Rewards
Allied Seals can be traded with a Hunt Billmaster in exchange for Grand Company unique weapons and armor, as well as Alexandrite, minions, Housing Items, and many other things.
Notably, they can be traded for armor and accessories formerly obtained with Allagan Tomestones of Soldiery.
Allied Seals can also be traded with Maudlin Latool Ja after completing the level 60 Blue Mage quest Blue Scream of Death. This NPC offers Blue Mage arms and accessories, as well as tier VII and VIII Materia, Triple Triad cards, Orchestrion Rolls, and other collectibles.
Tips and Tricks
Regarding earning seals:
- Due to the unreliability of specific FATE spawns, it is generally not recommended to do the daily hunt bills for A Realm Reborn.
- The weekly hunt bills for A Realm Reborn and the weekly Masked Carnival objectives are generally good methods to get seals, as they give a large amount for relatively little effort.
Regarding spending seals:
- Riding maps are usually not recommended to buy, as they only affect ground speed, and the speed while flying is faster than the fully-upgraded ground speed. That said, riding maps can occasionally see use in zones where flying is a hassle, such as the mines area in Outer La Noscea.
- The gear sold by the blue mage vendor has the same item level as gear bought with Allagan Tomestones of Poetics, so it can be a cost-effective method of gearing blue mage.
- Aetheryte Tickets are a good item to spend spare seals on, as Allied Seals and Centurio Seals are the only renewable ways to obtain them in bulk. Use them liberally to save lots of Gil over time.
- In the teleport menu, there is a setting to automatically spend aetheryte tickets if the teleport cost exceeds a given cost threshold - select this option to avoid needing to confirm a ticket spend each time a teleport is performed.
