Prince Rasler was the twin brother to princess Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca, both of whom died in the invasion of the Garlean Empire. Despite being royalty, Rasler insisted on fighting on the frontlines for his homeland. Before his final battle, he sent his sister away with Ba'Gamnan, in the hopes she would survive and rally their people against the Empire. In secret, he instructed an elite group to "assassinate" his sister and keep her in hiding until such a time that she could lead a resistance. At some point during the fall of Nalbina Fortress, Rasler lost his life.
