Personal Housing allows individual players to purchase their own houses in the 5 Residential Districts. Personal Housing was introduced in patch 2.38, after the introduction of Free Company Housing and Private Chambers, but before Apartments.
Requirements
- Character with level 50 in 1 of the classes.
- Second Lieutenant in 1 of the Grand Companies for Personal Housing. Rank 6 or higher Free Company for Free Company Housing.
- A player and a Free Company can only have 1 house each. If a person wants to have two houses, they need to create/lead a Free Company and then buy one for themselves and one for their Free Company. Private chambers in Free Company houses and apartments don't count. You may see some free companies or players with multiple houses. This was possible to have in the past. However, changes have been made, and it is no longer possible. Those players and FC's were grandfathered to retain what they had already.
- You must be a member of your free company for at least 30 days to purchase a free company plot.
- Free Companies with fewer than four members are not allowed to post a bid for a Free Company plot.
Side Note: You CANNOT transfer your Personal Plot directly into a FC Plot or visa versa. You have to relinquish the plot and then re-purchase it at the full price or wait for the demolition timer to expire.
Estate Sharing
Estate Sharing is a feature added in patch 3.1. It allows the owner of a house to designate up to 3 of their friends as "tenants" who have access to the house and its associated features. A player may only be a tenant of at most 2 houses.
- A player may remove themselves from a house's tenant list.
Tenant Authorizations
The owner of a house may configure the following authorizations for their tenants:
- Customization - Adding / Removing / Dyeing Furnishings
- Gardening - Planting / Harvesting / Crop Disposal
- Stable Tending - Stabling Chocobos.
- Orchestrion - Orchestrion operation
Teleporting
Tenants may use the Miniature Aetheryte placed on the owner's estate grounds.
Guest Access Settings
- Private Estate Access: Allows the general public to enter your estate
- Teleport: If you have a Miniature Aetheryte installed, allows those on your Friend List to teleport to your estate (1/2 price)
Plot Prices
As of patch 3.3 housing prices of each server have been unified, the following is a list of starting prices for each housing size. With the introduction of the new Lottery System in patch 6.1, plot prices no longer devalue and are fixed.
All Worlds
The cost of a plot is based on size and 'grade' of the plot itself (as determined by the developers). The costs are:
