Arcanist is a Disciple of Magic class capable of summoning carbuncle as his or her companion. The Arcanist's Guild is in the marine city of Limsa Lominsa. If you choose arcanist as your first class, you will start off in the city of Limsa Lominsa. At level 30, Arcanist can acquire the jobs Summoner and Scholar.
