Ryne is now able to concentrate on the task of turning Eden's immense power to the task of balancing the aetherial alignment of the Empty. Such a delicate task must be approached one element at a time, and Urianger suggests that the first should be water, essential to all life. However, for the aether to be restored, it must first be given shape through a process akin to summoning. As you call upon your memories of the dread Leviathan, the raging fury of the deluge begins to take form ...

  • Note: It is possible to walk off or be pushed off the edge of the arena and die.

Auto-attack - Small projectiles launched at both tanks every few seconds.

Tidal Roar - Partywide damage.

Temporary Current - Very wide line AOE covering most of the field diagonally, with safe zones on two corners. Sometimes does two in succession perpendicular to each other.

Rip Current - Tankbuster with line-based cleave, indicated by red marker on tank.

Tidal Wave - Spawns a geyser on a cardinal direction off the side of the arena; pushes the party away from that direction after a short delay.

Drenching Pulse - Spawns a circular AOE under every party member, then a spread attack on every party member.

Undersea Quake - Several times throughout the fight, Leviathan will destroy either the outer sides of the arena, or the center column. The arena will be restored after a short time, and the alternate pattern of arena destruction will occur the next time Leviathan casts Undersea Quake.

Tsunami - The appearance of the walls changes to become a wall of swirling water.

  • Smothering Tsunami - Occurs during Tsunami. One party member is selected for a stack-up.
  • Surging Tsunami - Occurs during Tsunami. One party member is selected and will start radiating yellow arrows that will push other party members outward after a delay.
  • Splashing Tsunami - Occurs during Tsunami. One party member is targeted with a donut spread attack and several others are targeted with normal spread attacks, simultaneously.

Maelstrom - Three spots on the arena floor will be marked and then expand into larger circle AOEs. At the same time, a blue vortex will appear somewhere on the edge of the arena and Leviathan will dive-bomb out of it after a delay, inflicting damage on that half of the arena. This pair of attacks will happen twice in a row.
