Tomes of Regional Folklore is a system for Gathering classes implemented in Heavensward (3.0). Players can exchange Blue Gatherers' Scrip Token for 9 types of tomes, 1 for each Heavensward region and gatherer class. These tomes contain items for level 60.

With the addition of Stormblood (4.0), players can now exchange Regional Folklore Hawker's Token for 6 new tomes, 1 for each Stormblood region and gatherer class. These new tomes contain items for level 70.

Shadowbringers (5.0) introduces the Regional Folklore Trade Token that can be obtained from the Scrip Exchange for 100 Yellow Gatherers' Scrip. 40 tokens are required per tome and the tomes unlock level 80 gathering nodes.

For Botanist and Miner, using a tome of regional folklore will allow you to discover previously hidden gathering points. Bear in mind that these gathering points are only available at certain times of the day.

For Fisher, using a tome of regional folklore will allow you to discover hidden fishing holes and rare fish that are otherwise unobtainable.
