Jobs have specialized abilities aimed to perform specific roles in a group setting. Jobs are the same level as their corresponding classes and can be thought of as specialized modes of the base classes. There are 8 jobs in A Realm Reborn: Warrior, Paladin, Monk, Dragoon, Bard, White Mage, Black Mage, Summoner and Scholar. Players can unlock jobs by having one of the corresponding classes to level 30 and another class to level 15.
- Primary class is the class the job links to.
- Secondary class is required to be level 15 to unlock the job.
- The job has all the abilities and traits of the primary class and all the cross-class abilities of secondary and tertiary classes.
- The level of the job is the same as its corresponding class and vice versa. For example when a level 47 gladiator equips its Paladin job stone, the gladiator will turn into a level 47 paladin. If the paladin gains 2 levels and becomes level 49, then when the player removes his or her paladin job stone, the paladin becomes a level 49 gladiator.
Job | Primary Class | Secondary Class | Tertiary Class |
---|---|---|---|

Paladin | Gladiator | Conjurer | Marauder |
Monk | Pugilist | Lancer | Marauder |
Dragoon | Lancer | Marauder | Pugilist |

White Mage | Conjurer | Arcanist | Thaumaturge |
Black Mage | Thaumaturge | Archer | Arcanist |
Summoner | Arcanist | Thaumaturge | Archer |
