A Relic Reborn

A Relic Reborn is a level 50 quest line that unlocked the Relic Weapon for the chosen Job. Players can begin their Relic quest by talking to Nedrick Ironheart in Vesper Bay. The starting quest is The Weaponsmith of Legend. In order to start another relic weapon for a different job, a player must have completed any current Relic Weapon quest or the quest will be removed and all progression will be lost (Second quest can be started at Gerbolt).

Pre-requisite

• Complete Class Quest
• Complete Job Quests
• Complete Main Scenario Quest
• Complete The Aurum Vale (or Dzemael Darkhold)
• Access to Amdapor Keep.

Part 1

• Speaking to Nedrick Ironheart in Vesper Bay.
• Travel to Revenant's Toll in Mor Dhona to speak with Rowena (X-22, Y-6).
• Travel to Hyrstmill in North Shroud to speak with Gerolt (X-30, Y-20).

Part 2

Locate the broken quest weapon from the Beastmen Strongholds. The location is dependent on your specific job.

Part 3

Purchase (or Craft) the class weapon and double-meld (twice) it with specific grade III Materia. In order to meld or to have another individual meld an item for you, complete the quest Waking the Spirit.

Part 4

Obtain Alumina Salt from a cave in Coerthas. This fight is a 8-man duty (Can be found in Duty Finder after reaching the destination the first time).

• Defeat the D'horme Chimera (X-32, Y-6) Coerthas while on the job that equips the relic weapon.

Part 5

• Obtain the Amdapor Glyph from Amdapor Keep. A player would obtain the Amdapor Glyph after completion and exiting.
• Exchange Amdapor Glyph to Rowena for Interview with a Padjal.
• Exchange Interview with a Padjal to Gerolt to continue the quest.

Part 6

Defeat twenty-four specific beastmen in the respective stronghold.

Journey to Halatali in Eastern Thanalan. This fight is a 8-man duty (Can be found in Duty Finder after reaching the destination the first time

• Defeat the Hydra with the job with the equipped unfinished relic weapon.

Defeat the Primal Ifrit in the Bowl of Embers (Hard) while using the job for the relic you have chosen.

• Obtain the item White-Hot Ember from Ifrit.

Defeat the Primal Garuda in the Howling Eye (Hard) while using the job for the relic you have chosen .

• Obtain the item Howling Gale from Garuda.

Defeat the Primal Titan in the Naval (Hard) while using the job for the relic you have chosen

• Obtain the item Hyperfused Ore from Titan.

Last Part

Purchase Radz-at-Han Quenching Oil with 900 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy in Mor Dhona.

• Obtain a bottle of Radz-at-Han Quenching Oil.

Upgrade

After obtaining a relic weapon, it can be upgraded to a +1 item.

Note: Paladins will have a two step process and must upgrade the Holy Shield and Curtana separately. Holy Shield only requires (1) Thavnairian Mist and Curtana requires (2) Thavnairian Mist.

Pre-requisite

• Obtain any finished Relic Weapon
• Obtain 900 Allagan Tomestones of Mythology

Items Needed

• Go to Revenant's Toll and purchase 3 Thavnairian Mist from Auriana.
• Return to Hyrstmill and trade your relic weapon and the 3 Thavnairian Mist to the forge.
