Introduction

In Stormblood(4.0), every class and job received Job Gauges as part of the combat overhaul. For the Samurai class, this Job Gauge tracks two items : Kenki, and Iaijutsu, which additionally tracks Sen.

The Iaijutsi Gauge Empty
The Filled Iaijutsu Gauge

Sen

Sen are the 3 individual components of Iaijutsu, and are gained via combat skills. The Sen gauge is unique: It will only cast specific abilities at 1, 2, or 3 Sen, no matter the color or type of Sen.

The three different types of Sen are:

Getsu

Getsu is the Crescent-Moon Sen. Getsu can be generated via the Hakaze -> Jinpu -> Gekko Melee combo, or via the Fuga -> Mangetsu Area of Effect combo.

Setsu

Setsu is the Snowflake Sen. Setsu can be generated via the Hakaze -> Yukikaze Melee combo.

Ka

Ka is the Cherry Blossom Sen. Ka can be generated via the Hakaze -> Shifu -> Kasha Melee Combo, or via the Fuga -> Oka Area of Effect combo.
