Venat is an Amaurotine in Elpis.
Venat was a member of the Convocation of Fourteen, the Amaurotine government, and held the seat of Azem for a time. During her civilization's final days, as experienced in the dungeon Amaurot, Venat opposed the summoning of Zodiark and chose instead to sunder her world Etheirys into the Source and thirteen reflections.[1] Unlike most of her compatriots, she herself remained unsundered, and would later become the primal Hydaelyn.
In the Japanese version, the character's name is Venus in keeping with the pattern of naming Convocation members after Greek deities.
