The Old World is located to the north of Eorzea and is located in the Northern Empty. It is home to Sharlayan and its governing body, The Forum. The Sharlayans originally left from here to come to Eorzea to both gather and share their accumulated knowledge, however when the Garlean Empire threatened to invade and they were unable to secure neutrality, they made an exodus back to the Old World in a single night.
