An entelechy is a lifeform that can interact with Dynamis to output tangible effects. It is a concept introduced in Endwalker, and the first known example is the Elpis flower.[1] Meteion, a lifeform created from dynamis by Hermes, is one of the most prominent entelechies.
After the Sundering, the aetheric density of living beings was greatly decreased, which increased their connection to dynamis. Lifeforms that were able to manipulate dynamis because of this, such as the player character (as seen through limit breaks), could be considered entelechies. The ancient Venat hoped that these newfound entelechies would be able to combat the Endsinger.[2]
In the non-canon The Omega Protocol (Ultimate), Omega learns to harness the power of dynamis and becomes an entelechy itself: Alpha Omega.

The Elpis flower is the first entelechy recorded in history, its petals changing hue in respone to the mindset of those nearby—sun-bright in the midst of a joyful crowd, but growing ashen and gloomy in the hands of a troubled soul.

Yet the reduction in corporeal aether would improve man's connection to dynamis. Those who inherited the sundered world would be entelechies—capable warriors whom Venat hoped would one day stand against the Endsinger and her inexorable despair.
