"Abandoned once purged of ore, the Copperbell Mines laid abandoned for nigh on three centuries until Amajina and Sons Mineral Concern reclaimed the shafts - the guild's sights set on expanding the mines downward in an attempt to tap yet undiscovered veins of valuable metal. Unfortunately, it was not riches the powder kegs uncovered, but sheer terror, for when the smoke cleared, out poured an army of raging giants from the darkest recesses of the mines. Copperbell Mines is a level 17-20 dungeon located in Western Thanalan. It requires a light party of 4 players. Players will unlock Copperbell Mines through main story quests.
- Players who are level 21 or above will be level sync'd down to level 20 upon entrance.
Bosses
Kottos the Gigas
Before Kottos emerges, waves of spriggins appear and attack your party. AoE damage is ideal for dealing with spriggins.
Ichorous Ire
Ichorous Ire is a giant green blob or flan monster. An Improved Blasting Device sits in the center of the boss room, next to the reddish magma stone. During the fight, spriggens will periodically spawn into the room. They will drop blasting powder upon death. Upon receiving blasting powder, one of the party members needs to interact with the Improved Blasting Device to spawn a bomb monster. Before interacting with the Improved Blasting Device, Ichorous Ire should be lured to the magma stone. The bomb monster will explode after sometime, dividing Ichorous Ire into 2, smaller blobs. Repeat previous steps and spawn 4 even smaller blobs. Repeat the steps for the 3rd time to spawn 8 very small and vulnerable blobs. Kill the 8 blobs to finish Ichorous Ire off.
- Do not kill or let spriggins kill the bomb monster.
- Be sure to stay outside the giant red circle when the bomb monster explodes.
Gyges the Great
Gyges the Great is a muscular giant with a two large horns on his helmet. He is able to perform a powerful AoE cone attack in front of him. There are loose rocks on the sides of the boss room. During the boss fight, Gyges periodically runs to the rocks and begins to break them. Once a rock formation is broken, a new giant spawns into the room. Kill the add quickly and prevent it from destroying more rocks.
