“Deals fire damage to a target and all enemies nearby it with a potency of 220 for the first enemy, and 40% less for all remaining enemies.

Additional Effect: Grants Astral Fire III
Duration: 15s
Can only be executed while under the effect of Astral Fire.— In-game description
Flare is an action unlocked by questing at level 50. It is available for Black Mage.

- Potency has been changed from 260 to 220.
- Added "Enhanced Flare Potency: 280."
- Deleted "and removes Umbral Ice".
- Added "Can only be executed while under the effect of Astral Fire."
- Patch 5.0 (2019-07-02):
- MP cost has been set at All MP.
- Potency reduction has been changed from "15% less for the second, 30% less for the third, 45% less for the fourth, 60% less for the fifth, and 70% less for all remaining enemies" to "40% less for all remaining enemies."
- Astral Fire duration increased from 13 to 15 seconds.
- Patch 4.0 (2017-06-20):
- Potency is now reduced by 15% for the second enemy, 30% for the third, 45% for the fourth, 60% for the fifth, and 70% less for all remaining enemies.
- Astral Fire duration has bhas been increased from 12 to 13 seconds.
