With her irresistible charms, your victory against Honey B. Lovely was hard-fought. Yet Gabbro's words linger in your mind: what if the sweet songstress revealed a side of herself more vile than you had ever imagined? How might the battle have gone then...?

— In-game description

AAC Light-heavyweight M2 (Savage) is a level 100 raid introduced in patch 7.05 with Dawntrail. The raid is also known as M2S.

Phases & Abilities

Animated guide by Hector Hectorson

Aggressive difficulty r6.png Sweet Poison: Honey B. Lovely

The arena is surrounded by an electric AoE that will instantly kill any player who touches it. Outside of the Honey B. Live phases, being hit with any avoidable AoEs will inflict a non-stacking -26% Damage Down icon1.png Damage Down debuff for 30 seconds and possibly other effects.

During the Honey B. Live phases, being hit by any AoEs (avoidable or unavoidable) will give each player one heart on their overhead marker. If any player receives 4 hearts, they will be stunned for 5 seconds, which will heal the boss for 1% of her maximum HP and give her one permanent stack of Queen bee icon1.png Queen Bee, increasing her damage dealt for the remainder of the battle. The charmed player's heart gauge will reset to 0. The number of hearts a player has is also indicated by a debuff, dealing damage over time:

  • (1 heart) Infatuated icon2.png Infatuated
  • (2 hearts) Head over heels icon2.png Head Over Heels
  • (3 hearts) Hopeless devotion icon2.png Hopeless Devotion
  • (4 hearts) Honey bee mine icon1.png Honey Bee Mine. Will stun the player for 5 seconds with Drone icon1.png Drone, also healing and buffing the boss.

Strategy

Each player should be assigned a clock position, with DPS on intercardinals and supports on cardinals, along with light parties. Pairs of players consisting of 1 DPS and 1 support, each with an assigned quadrant, should also be designated.

Unlike standard clock spots, the off tank should be east and group 2 healer south to facilitate some mechanics.

Initial mechanics

  • Call Me Honey: High raid-wide magical damage that should be mitigated.
  • Splash of Venom or Drop of Venom: The boss receives a Lovely poison icon.png Lovely Poison buff indicating a stored attack that will resolve later.
    • Splash of Venom will hit each player with an untelegraphed circle AoE that inflicts Poison resistance down II icon2.png Poison Resistance Down II, making overlap lethal, requiring the party to spread out.
    • Drop of Venom will hit all DPS or all supports with an untelegraphed split damage circle AoE that inflicts Poison resistance down II icon2.png Poison Resistance Down II, requiring each player to stack with their assigned partner.
    • Both attacks deal high damage and should be mitigated.
  • Tempting Twist or Honey Beeline: The bosses uses one of these two attacks.
    • Tempting Twist summons rotating spear indicators around the boss, indicating a donut AoE. Afterwards, globs of yellow poison will spawn around the arena, which will explode as late telegraphed circle AoEs (Splinter), leaving the intercardinals safe. The party should go to their assigned intercardinals and either spread out (if Splash of Venom was used) or stack with their partner (if Drop of Venom was used) as the stored attack will also resolve.
    • Honey Beeline summons rotating spear indicators over the boss where she is facing, a line AoE, leaving her flanks safe at max melee range. Afterwards, globs of yellow poison will spawn at the east and west of the arena, which will explode as late telegraphed circle AoEs, leaving the middle safe. The party should go to their quadrants and either spread out (if Splash of Venom was used) or stack with their partner (if Drop of Venom was used) as the stored attack will also resolve.
  • The boss will then use whichever combination of stored attack and AoE that was not used the first time.
  • Killer Sting or Stinging Slash: One of two telegraphed tankbusters.
    • Killer Sting is a split damage AoE tankbuster on the highest enmity player and should be shared by both tanks with mitigation.
    • Stinging Slash are 90 degree conal AoE tankbusters on the highest and second highest enmity players that inflict Slashing resistance down icon1.png Slashing Resistance Down, making overlap lethal.

Honey B. Live: 1st Beat

  • Honey B. Live: 1st Beat: High magical raid-wide damage that should be mitigated. Also transitions the arena and gives each player either 0, 1, or 2 hearts on their heart gauge. A total of 8 hearts will be distributed between the party. The boss receives a Top of the hive icon.png Top of the Hive buff, indicating the heart mechanics will be active.
  • Centerstage Combo or Outerstage Combo: One of two sets of attacks depending on the name of the cast. Four glowing lines will either spawn on the intercardinals or cardinals to indicate the first set of AoEs (Laceration).
    • Centerstage Combo is (1) An untelegraphed donut AoE and conal AoEs hitting the cardinals, leaving the intercardinals on the hitbox safe, (2) A large untelegraphed plus-shaped AoE leaving the intercardinals outside of melee range safe. (3) An untelegraphed point-blank AoE and conal AoEs hitting the intercardinals, leaving the cardinals in or past max melee range safe.
    • Outerstage Combo is the reversed AoE sequence as Centerstage Combo, i.e. (1) cardinals in or past max melee range safe, (2) intercardinals outside of melee range safe, (3) intercardinals on the hitbox safe
  • Heart towers will begin to sequentially spawn at semi-random locations around the arena. These need to be soaked by 1 player each, which will increase their heart gauge by 1 (Fracture), or they will explode for high raid-wide damage (Big Burst) and give all players 1 heart, likely causing a wipe.
    • A total of 11 towers will spawn.
    • Towers may appear in melee range or outside of melee range, which should be prioritized by melee and ranged players, respectively.
    • Players with 0 or 1 hearts should have priority for soaking towers. Ideally, all players should end up with at least 2 hearts by the end of the mechanic, although some players will have 3 hearts.
    • Assuming no mistakes, 5 players will have 2 hearts and 3 players will have 3 hearts.
  • Loveseeker: A telegraphed point-blank AoE.
  • Several hearts will begin spiraling from the boss in a three-fold pattern, while other hearts will move from the outside of the arena towards random players' locations. These should be dodged to avoid gaining heart gauge.
  • Love Me Tender: One random players with the lowest number of hearts will be given a 4-person stack marker that will divide up 4 hearts to each player in the stack. The players with 2 hearts should be in the stack, while those with 3 hearts should avoid it.
  • The boss will then use the opposite Centerstage Combo or Outerstage Combo compared to what she used at the start of this phase.
  • If there were no mistakes, there will be 7 players with 3 hearts and 1 player with 2 hearts at the end of the phase. This means that the party can make one mistake (an extra heart stack on one player) during this phase without giving the boss a Queen Bee stack.
  • Honey B. Finale: High magical raid-wide damage that should be mitigated. Will revert the arena and remove everyone's heart gauge.

Alarm Pheremones 1

  • Killer Sting or Stinging Slash
  • If following the common "Mario Kart" strategy for the next mechanic, the main tank should pull the boss to the north of the arena and the party should stack north.
  • Alarm Pheremones: Sequentially spawns untargetable Groupbee adds at random locations outside of the arena, which receive green arrow indicators, denoting late telegraphed line AoEs (Blinding Love) aimed at random players. Anyone hit by these will take high damage, be inflicted with Damage Down icon1.png Damage Down and Slashing resistance down icon1.png Slashing Resistance Down (making another hit lethal), and be knocked back, potentially into the death wall.
    • A common strategy is for the party to stack north and wait until 4 arrow indicators appear before moving clockwise or counterclockwise as a group to dodge the line AoEs. However, due to the high randomness of this mechanic, there is no strategy that can make the line AoE baits entirely consistent.
    • If one anticipates being hit by an AoE, can use knockback immunity to prevent being knocked into the death wall.
    • A total of 16 line AoEs will spawn.

Honey B. Live: 2nd Beat

  • Honey B. Live: 2nd Beat: High magical raid-wide damage that should be mitigated. Also transitions the arena. Two supports and two DPS will receive one heart, while the remaining players will have no hearts to begin with.
  • Spread Love or Drop of Love: Stores an upcoming attack, similar to Splash of Venom or Drop of Venom. The boss receives a Honeyed charms icon.png Honeyed Charms buff indicating an attack has been stored.
    • Spread Love is a spread AoE on each player that will increase the heart gauge by one.
    • Drop of Love is a stack AoE on all DPS or all supports that will divide two hearts between each person in the AoE, increasing the gauge by one if players are with their partners.
  • Love Me Tender:
    • One DPS and one support with no hearts will receive a stack marker (Heartsick) that will distribute 4 hearts between each player in the stack. The other players with no hearts will be targeted with five baited ground AoEs (Heart-struck).
    • Because the stack AoEs do not inflict Magic Vulnerability Up, a common strategy is for all players with no hearts to stack together at the south of the boss. They will rotate clockwise to dodge the baited AoEs and stack the stack markers, giving each player in the stack two hearts.
    • Meanwhile, the players with one heart will stack north and rotate clockwise to dodge the baited AoEs.
    • One one-heart DPS and support will receive a telegraphed AoE (Heartsore) that will add one heart and should be taken away from other players.
    • Two towers will appear, one north and one south, or one east or one west. The remaining one-heart players with no AoE on them should take these towers (typically supports taking north or west and DPS taking south or east).
  • Afterwards, the boss will face north and use either Tempting Twist or Honey Beeline, which are resolved as before. Instead of poison globs, hearts will spawn in their place and explode, but the patterns are identical as before. Spread Love or Drop of Love also resolve, so players should spread or stack with partners.
  • Assuming no mistakes, all players will have 3 hearts at the end of this phase.
  • Honey B. Finale

Alarm Pheremones 2

  • Splash of Venom or Drop of Venom
  • Alarm Pheremones:
    • Spawns four Groupbee adds that will use Blinding Love, similar as before. However, they will always use the AoEs in a box-like pattern, leaving the center of the arena and four locations on the outside safe.
    • One DPS and one support will receive an orange overhead marker, indicating they will be hit with an AoE (Poison Sting) that inflicts Magic vulnerability up icon1.png Magic Vulnerability Up and leaves behind a persistent puddle, requiring them to drop them on the outside of the arena, then return to the center.
    • The remaining players will be marked sequentially and must move out, then back to the center. One DPS and one support will be targeted each time.
    • Meanwhile, new adds will spawn all clockwise or counterclockwise of the previous ones and use Blinding Love, causing the pattern of line AoEs to rotate. The safe area in the middle will become smaller each time.
    • Supports will typically prioritize the north and west safe regions to drop their puddles while DPS prioritize the south and east.
    • After all puddles have been dropped, one DPS and one support will receive a stack AoE marker (Bee Sting) dealing physical damage and inflicting Piercing resistance down icon1.png Piercing Resistance Down. These should be shared by all players of the same role (DPS or supports). To prevent overlap, these should be taken in the corners of the small square safe region from the final set of line AoEs.
  • Killer Sting or Stinging Slash
  • Tempting Twist or Honey Beeline. The stored attack also resolves.

Honey B. Live: 3rd Beat

  • Honey B. Live: 3rd Beat: High magical raid-wide damage that should be mitigated. Also transitions the arena. Each player will receive either a 26-second (short) or 46-second (long) Poison n pop icon.png Poison 'n' Pop debuff. All supports will have the same timer and all DPS will have the same timer. When the debuff expires, the player will emit a massive point-blank AoE (Big Burst) that deals magical damage, inflicts Magic vulnerability up icon1.png Magic Vulnerability Up, and gives one heart to anyone in the AoE, requiring them to be isolated from others.
  • Spread Love or Drop of Love will again store an attack for later.
  • Centerstage Combo or Outerstage Combo. Players should dodge near their assigned quadrants due to the upcoming debuff expirations.
  • The first set of debuffs will expire, so these players should head to the wall at their clock positions while the other group remains in the center to dodge the explosions. Meanwhile, four towers will spawn in a box pattern, but they should not be taken until the first set of debuffs expire.
  • The long debuff players must quickly take the tower in their assigned quadrant after the short debuffs go off.
  • Outerstage Combo or Centerstage Combo (whichever one was not used earlier)
  • The long debuff players should now go to their clock positions at the wall to resolve the explosions while the short debuff players remain in the middle. Afterwards, the short debuff players must take their assigned towers. The second set of towers will appear in the locations where the first set of towers did not spawn in.
  • Tempting Twist or Honey Beeline. The stored attack also resolves.
  • Assuming no mistakes, all players will have 3 hearts at the end of this phase.
  • Honey B. Finale

Rotten Heart

  • Killer Sting or Stinging Slash
  • Rotten Heart: High magical raid-wide damage that should be mitigated. Also transitions the arena. Each player should report to their clock spot for the upcoming mechanic.
    • Four players will receive Beeloved venom alpha icon.png Beeloved Venom: α and the other four will receive Beeloved venom beta icon.png Beeloved Venom: β, lasting for 16, 25, 44, or 60 seconds. One of each debuff and timer combination will be assigned. These debuffs must be cleansed by having players with different debuffs contact each other, after which they will briefly tether and emit moderate raid-wide damage that inflicts Magic vulnerability up icon1.png Magic Vulnerability Up for 7 seconds. Failing to cleanse the debuffs will cause Paralysis icon1.png paralysis (alpha) or instant death (beta) when they naturally expire.
    • During this sequence, the boss will use a total of four Call Me Honey raid-wides, so players must ensure to not cleanse their debuffs too late (which will cause this attack to wipe the party from the lingering Magic Vulnerability Up) while making sure to distribute healing and mitigation cooldowns for the high outgoing damage.
    • Each player will typically remain in their clock spot but move directly underneath the boss when they need to cleanse their debuffs at 6-8 seconds left on their timer, then return to their clock spot.
  • Sheer Heart Attack (enrage): The boss must be defeated before this cast finishes, or all players will be given 4 hearts and charmed. The boss will then receive 16 stacks of Femme fatale icon.png Femme Fatale and wipe the party with Honey B. Finale.
