Duty Roulette in the Duty Finder

Duty Roulette is a feature for the Duty Finder first introduced in the patch 2.1. Duty Roulette allows the player to participate in randomized duties. Since patch 2.1, various additional roulette modes have been added or changed to reflect the changing state of the game.

Duty Roulette is divided into several categories: Expert, Level 60, Level 50, Leveling, Trials, Main Scenario, Guildhests, Frontline, and Mentor.

All roulettes may be queued solo or with up to 4 other players, excluding Frontline and Mentor roulettes which are required to be queued solo.

Rewards for Duty Roulette

The Duty Roulette offers a daily reward that give the players a combination of experience, Grand Company Seals, Gil, Allagan Tomestone of Poetics, Allagan Tomestone of Lore and/or Allagan Tomestone of Scripture, depending on the type of duty and the level of the player.

  • Tomestone rewards are only given to players who are at the level cap.
  • The Gil amounts and Company Seals given are based on a level 60 class. Lower level players will receive a smaller bonus than those listed.
  • The "In Need" Bonus is given to the party role (Tank, Healer or DPS) that is most needed for the Duties in that category. It is given in addition to the normal reward and doesn't have a daily limit. Most of the time, Tanks are the most needed role although sometimes Healers are needed. DPS classes are most common and as such are rarely ever in need. Note: Joining a Roulette as a party will nullify this bonus for those players.
  • Duty Finder: Frontline also awards 600 PvP experience points and 1000 Wolf's Marks once per day.

Duty Roulette: Expert

The Duty Roulette: Expert places the player into one of the light party dungeons that were released in the latest patch. Like Duty Roulette: Level 50 Dungeons, this roulette will only become available after unlocking and completing all of the dungeons in the roulette.

The following dungeons must be completed:

Players must have an average item level of 280 or greater.

Duty Roulette: Level 50/60

Duty Roulette: Level 50 will put the player into a random level 50 light party dungeon. Unlike Duty Roulette: Leveling, the roulette will only become available after unlocking and completing all the level 50 dungeons in the roulette.

The following dungeons make up the Level 50/60 Duty Roulette:

Level 50 Dungeons

Level 60 Dungeons

Players must have an average item level of 90 or greater.

As of patch 3.1, experience is now also awarded on the defeat of enemies and bosses and for completion of the duty if the player is not at level cap.

Duty Roulette: Leveling

The Duty Roulette: Leveling will put the player into a random light party dungeon or light party trial that the player has unlocked which are not included in Duty Roulette: Level 50 or Duty Roulette: Level 60.

To unlock Duty Roulette: Leveling players must have completed both Sastasha and The Tam-Tara Deepcroft dungeons in the A Realm Reborn Main Scenario, as a minimum of two dungeons are required for the roulette. Players must also be at least level 16 in order to use Duty Roulette: Leveling and will be placed into any unlocked dungeon or trial up to, and including, their current class level.

The daily reward for Duty Roulette depends on your character's level at the time of signing up. Players not at level cap will receive experience points along with Company Seals and Gil. These players will also receive additional experience based on the difference between their actual level and the level of the dungeon or trial completed, with a further amount given based on the character's actual level.

Players who are at the level cap will receive a daily amount of Allagan Tomestones. For those whose level cap is 50, Allagan Tomestone of Poetics are awarded. For those whose level cap is 60, Allagan Tomestone of Lore and Allagan Tomestone of Scripture is awarded.

Duty Roulette: Trials

Duty Roulette: Trials will put the player into a random trial that they have unlocked. Like Duty Roulette: Leveling, the roulette is available even if you have not unlocked all trials in the roulette (e.g. you do not have to have completed all of the Heavensward or Manderville trials before accessing the roulette).

As of patch 3.4, the following trials make up this roulette:

Duty Roulette: Main Scenario

Duty Roulette: Main Scenario will place the player into one of the two full party dungeons from the finale of the main storyline quest: Castrum Meridianum and The Praetorium. Completing both dungeons is necessary to unlock this roulette. Characters must be level 50 and have an average item level of 42 to join.

Duty Roulette: Guildhests

Duty Roulette: Guildhests places the player into a random guildhest the player has unlocked. Players can begin to participate in this Duty Roulette at level 10 or higher. The Roulette unlocks automatically when you unlock at least two Guildhests.

Higher level guildhests are unlocked when players complete the previous set and are at least the same level as the next set, in increments of 5 levels until level 40.

Duty Roulette: Frontline

Duty Roulette: Frontline places the player into one of the Frontline PvP maps. Players must be at least level 50 to use this Roulette.

Level 50-59 players can be placed into either:

Level 60 players can be placed into any of the above two or:

Duty Roulette: Mentor
