Vainchelon Whitewater

Vainchelon Whitewater was a general of the Gridanian military who had risen to the ranks of Commander. During the Autumn War, Vainchelon met General Gylbarde and the Ala Mhigo military at the Firesand Banks, where they waged a battle. The skirmish was considered a stalemate and Vainchelon retreated, hoping to lure the General into a trap, but died of a mysterious illness shortly thereafter.

There is a journal that was allegedly penned by Gylbarde that stated Vainchelon sought peace with the Ala Mhigan forces, and asked to meet Gylbarde in secret. However, Gylbarde poisoned him at the meeting, and sent his son to spread word that Vainchelon had died of illness. The factual accuracy of this journal has long remained a point of speculation, however.
