Note

• Damage over Time effects in FFXIV apply their damage every 3 seconds. The potency of Damage over Time effects in FFXIV is given at the same rate.
• Comparing on a GCD basis, in order to match the equivalent 160 potency of   Heavy Shot, the target would have to take 4 ticks of Venom (100 base potency, plus 4x 15 potency from venom = +60 potency) or live for at least 12 seconds after using Venomous Bite/applying Venom. The potency over the full duration of Venomous Bite and Venom combined is 325 damage, so if the target lives for the full duration, up to 165 potency may be gained over simply using Heavy Shot.
