“"Whatever they are, they're in my way!"
Both a member of the Resistance and Gunnhildr's Blades, the thirty-six-year-old Stanik comes from humble beginnings. Daily life was a struggle under imperial rule for the great majority of Bozjans, and the same held true for his parents. With the meager earnings from their stall, no coin could be spared to send Stanik to school, but he did what he could to earn money, whether that be minding the neighbors' children or polishing boots on the street. At the age of fifteen, Stanik presented himself at the imperial army's conscription office, and was accepted as a soldier. He did this to ease the burden on his parents by giving them one less mouth to feed, while also sending home what wages he could, but his sacrifices would prove for naught in the face of the devastation that was the Bozja incident. With no reason to remain with the imperial army, Stanik deserted to join the Resistance.

Stanik grew up as an impoverished member of the Garlean Empire following the conquest of Bozja. His family ran a small stall in the city, that more often than not did very little to help the family make ends meet. Due to their lack of funds, Stanik was unable to attend school as a child, an altogether not uncommon occurrence in that time. Because of this lifestyle, Stanik developed dreams of one day being a hero. He did what he could for his parents by earning money by watching the neighbor's children or polishing boots on the street. He and his family, poor though they were, taught Stanik to never resort to petty theft to get by, instilling the belief in him that "poverty is no excuse for poor morals".
When he came of age, Stanik joined the Imperial Army, not to seek glory, but to ease the burden on his parents. Although he did not earn much, he sent back what he could, and his parents constantly wrote to him, providing him with a source of comfort and making him feel as though he had achieved his dream of being a hero.
When the rumors of a terrible incident that destroyed all of Bozja began to reach the frontlines, Stanik began to panic, until he received a letter from his parents. Unfortunately, he soon realized it was dated just one day before the Bozja Incident had occurred. Horrified by the actions of the Empire, he could no longer fight as one of their soldiers, and defected, eventually coming to join with the Bozjan Resistance. He fought fiercely against the Empire, eventually earning a place amongst the Blades of Gunnhildr.
Stanik fought valiantly against his foes for several years, and when the Resistance finally began to take ground on the Southern Front, he took to the frontlines, taking part in several Skirmishes and laying the Imperial forces to waste. Unfortunately, it was here that he would meet his end. During the attack on Castrum Lacus Litore, Stanik was amongst the Blades that led the charge. He was present when Misija used the blade Save the Queen to call forth Queen Gunnhildr as a Primal and Tempered many of those present, himself included. He was eventually fused together with other members of the Blades, and was laid to rest by the Warrior of Light.
