“"O great serpent! Thank you ever so much for watching over us! You have my most sincerest glad-itude!"
Now three summers old, this earnest member of the Stewards has been involved with his parents' archaeological excavations since the time he could walk. His greatest wish had been to discover the lost Qitari stelae, and, as if it had heard his plea, the great serpent itself manifested to show him the way. Joining the expedition to the ruins of Hopl's Stopple, Chaqurl was overjoyed when they found one of the great stone tablets—the first of many. Qitarl Natl interpreted the weathered markings with an eye for harsh truths, but Chaqurl, though he respected his father more than any other, dared to disagree, seeing in the drawings before him a kinder, brighter history.
