Field Operations, also known as Adventuring Forays and often referred to by players as Exploration Zones, are endgame content for several expansions of Final Fantasy XIV. They consist of large-scale battlefield duties and raids, connected by storyline quests. These are optional and are not part of the Main Scenario. Each field operation has special gameplay mechanics. The Stormblood and Shadowbringers field operations are tied to the expansion's Relic Weapons.

Occult Crescent (Dawntrail)

Occult Crescent is a Field Operations series that will be released later into the Dawntrail expansion.

Retired Content

• The subject of this section was retired or removed from the game in patch 5.1, and is no longer available to players.
• Retired items may still be kept in inventory but can no longer be renewably obtained. Tradable items may still be obtained from the Market Board or directly trading with other players.
• The information in this section is kept and maintained for historical purposes.
• This version of The Diadem was replaced in patch 5.21 with the current gatherer-only iteration to support the Ishgardian Restoration.
