The Qalyana broodmother's descent into madness began when her only daughter, given over to the Crania Lupi as a hostage, was slain. Desperate to bring back her precious Anamika, Shanti resorted to summoning Sri Lakshmi and was made one of Her thralls. The thirty-six-year-old plotted to call forth her goddess once more at the council of representatives in Ala Mhigo, and while she succeeded in doing so, she was summarily cut down by Raubahn Aldynn.
