“Legend has it that this sacred "stage of sagacity" is where the Mrga, who bear a deep affinity with the sea, invited the Manusya (allegedly poor swimmers) to parley and trade heads. Those who worship the Mrga deities are yet known to swim out to the platform as part of their pilgrimage or ascetic rites.
