Reporter for the Gridanian tabloid, The Raven, Lina Mewrilah was sent on assignment to the Far East by her editor and sister, Mujih, after a few strong-armed inquiries ran the overcurious Keeper of the Moon afoul of several of the Black Shroud’s more upstanding citizens. It was while in Kugane that Lina caught wind of a story brewing aboard the newly arrived Garlean theater barge, the Prima Vista. While searching for a way aboard the airship, Lina happened to meet Alma bas Lexentale—who, in a stroke of luck, happened to be searching for someone to aid her in the search for her missing father. Knowing this could be her ticket to journalistic stardom, Lina agreed to not only speak with Lexentale, but also use her clout to enlist the assistance of one of the realm’s most renowned heroes—the Warrior of Light.
