Introduction

Patch 5.4: Futures Rewritten is the fourth major content update introduced for Shadowbringers.

Main Story: Futures Rewritten (10 quests)
Raid Series: Eden's Promise, Eden's Promise (Savage) the third and final part of the Eden story and raid series
Dungeon: Matoya's Relict
Chronicles of a New Era: The Sorrow of Werlyt continued
- Trials: Castrum Marinum, Castrum Marinum (Extreme)
Save the Queen: Blades of Gunnhildr: Third chapter
- Resistance Weapons upgrades
- Field Operations: Delubrum Reginae
Faux Hollows: The Navel (Unreal)
Blue Mage Update: Level cap for blue mages increased to 70, and Stormblood spells have been added.
Ishgardian Restoration: Completion of the Firmament
- Skysteel Tools upgrades
Ocean Fishing update: New routes, bonuses, missions, and various other changes
Gold Saucer: Triple Triad and Doman Mahjong updates

Gathering Collectables overhauled:
- Collector's Glove (Miner) and Collector's Glove (Botanist) removed.
- All gathered collectables for Rowena are now prefixed Rarefied and only found on Unspoiled Nodes.
- Miner and Botanist now automatically enter the new collectable gathering menu when clicking on a Collectable on a gathering node.
  - Fisher has retained Collect and continues to function as before. Fishing collectables for Rowena are NOT prefixed Rarefied unlike all others.
Explorer Mode: Allows you to explore completed dungeons with all enemies removed for sightseeing purposes. Striking dummies can be placed, and mounts, limit breaks, and job changing are available.
- Available for Shadowbringers dungeons only at release of this patch.
New Game+: Shadowbringers Part 3 (5.1 to 5.3 main story), Role Quests, Job Quests
Performance New Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
Treasure Hunt - The Shifting Oubliettes of Lyhe Ghiah

New Allagan Tomestone currency: Allagan Tomestones of Revelation
- Allagan Tomestones of Phantasmagoria are now deprecated and can be exchanged for Allagan Tomestones of Allegory for a limited time.
- Allagan Tomestones of Allegory are no longer limited to 450 per week.
- Allagan Tomestones of Goetia have been removed.
Quick Exploration Ventures changed.
- Retainers equipped with more powerful gear will receive items in greater quantities, with a greater chance of obtaining high-quality items.
  - Following this change, the chance to obtain rare items based on gear has been removed.
- Certain items previously obtainable via retainer ventures have been removed.
- The amount of experience gained via retainer ventures is fixed depending on the retainer's level.
Advanced Materia Melding: Option added to continuously attempt to meld materia to gear until you run out or one is successfully attached.
Gil value for most Crafting materials and consumable items drastically reduced, generally to single digits.
Gender-lock removed from the High House Glamour Set and the Expeditioner's Glamour Set.
