System changes and additions

  • PvP update
    • Extensive update to PvP action execution and hit detection
    • New PvP job actions and adjustments to existing actions (excluding viper and pictomancer)
    • Arena improvements for the Red Sands and Cloud Nine
    • Balance adjustments for Frontline and Rival Wings, including damage dealt/taken, limit break charge time, and machina functionality
    • PvP Series 7 begins
    • Crystalline Conflict ranked match adjustments:
      • Starting with Season 12, rankings will be determined by region rather than by data center
      • Ranked matches will only be held in one data center per region (Primal for North America, Chaos for Europe, Gaia for Japan, Materia for Oceania)
      • Only the best performing character in the player's account will be counted for rankings
      • Due to the consolidation, the number of placements for 2nd and 3rd place rewards will be increased (2nd place = #2-100 previously #2-30; 3rd place = #101-300 previously #31-100)
  • New Game+ support for patch 7.0 (Main Scenario Quests, Viper/Pictomancer Job Quests, Role Quests)
  • Initial Duty Support implementation for non-main scenario dungeons: Dungeon Halatali
  • Hall of the Novice updates: training for specific battle mechanics, such as stack markers and spread markers (level 49)
    • Has three rounds of training
  • Doman Mahjong update: voiced reaction and commentary from the Scions
  • Player Housing update: selection of interior designs regardless of estate location, new interior designs added
  • Adjustment for all Ultimate raids: party must be comprised of 8 unique jobs for passive LB generation to occur
  • Outfit glamours:
    • A new way to store glamour gear in the Glamour Dresser in sets (outfits) as opposed to as individual items
    • Outfits can be used in glamour plates or projected onto gear
    • This system will primarily support level 1 glamour gear to start with
    • Player must possess the entire set of gear in order to store those pieces as an outfit glamour
    • Previously set dyes will be removed when you store gear as part of an outfit; dye must be reapplied afterwards
  • Group Pose updates:
    • Added support for Fisher’s fishing animations
    • Adjusted camera controls to remain screen-oriented rather than rotate based on roll angle
  • UI and graphics:
    • Duty List can now display up to 10 quests at a time
    • Added feature to show character tilting while turning, similar to mounts (can be enabled or disabled in settings)
    • Starting with patch 7.1, character-related feedback on the graphics update will be addressed. Because of this, an additional free vial of Fantasia icon1.png  Fantasia will be made available from the Wandering Moogle for a limited time (only during the 7.1 patch sequence).

Note: Not all content listed here will launch on the same day. This article is about the 7.1x season as a whole.
