“Covers target's body in a slow-burning pitch. Action is changed to Detonator for the duration of the effect. Deals damage to target and all enemies within 5 yalms when time expires or upon executing Detonator.
Duration: 8s
Potency is increased by 4,000 for each of your own attack actions you land prior to the end of the effect. Landing 4 attack actions will cause the slow-burning pitch to detonate immediately.— In-game description
Wildfire (PvP) is an action unlocked at level 30. It is available for Machinist.
History
- Patch 7.11 (2024-11-26):
- The number of attack actions needed to cause the pitch to detonate immediately has been reduced from 5 to 4.
- Potency for each attack action landed has been increased from 3,000 to 4,000.
- Patch 7.1 (2024-11-12):
- Added "Action is changed to Detonator for the duration of the effect."
- Duration has been increased from 7 to 8 seconds.
- Recast time has been increased from 20 to 24 seconds.
- Potency per attack action has been reduced from 4,000 to 3,000.
- The number of attack actions needed to cause the pitch to detonate immediately has been increased from 3 to 5.
- Patch 6.3 (2023-01-10): Fixed an issue wherein a counter effect would be triggered by this action.
- Patch 6.11 (2022-04-25):
- Fixed an issue wherein this action counted the damage over time effect of Bioblaster as attack actions required for detonation.
- Fixed an issue where this action dealt more damage than intended under certain conditions.
- Patch 6.1 (2022-04-12):
- Recast time has been reduced from 30 to 20 seconds.
- Now deals damage to target and all enemies nearby it when time expires.
- Duration has been increased from 6 to 7 seconds.
- The effect "33% of most damage you inflict upon the target is compiled" has been changed to "Potency is increased by 4,000 for each of your own weaponskills you land prior to the end of the effect".
- Landing 3 weaponskills now causes the effect to detonate immediately.
- Patch 5.3 (2020-08-11): Portion of damage compiled has been increased from 25% to 33%.

- Portion of damage compiled has been reduced from 33% to 25%.
- Effect duration has been increased from 5 to 6 seconds.
